On Saturday, July 10, 1999 the North Carolina Genealogical Society and the
Olivia Raney Library will co-sponsor a workshop conducted by Craig Scott,
CGRS. Mr. Scott is a nationally-known speaker who specializes in military
records in the National Archives. Someone from the North Carolina State
Archives will be at the workshop to answer questions about state records.
The workshop will focus on researching the records of soldiers, sailors and
marines who fought in the Civil War.
Costs for the workshop are $25.00 for NCGS members and $30.00 for
nonmembers. A box lunch is included in the fee.
The workshop will be held at the Commons Building at the Wake County
Office Park on Carya Drive. Registration will begin at 9:00 a. m.
