J. Mark Lowe, CGSM is a full time, professional genealogist, author, and national lecturer. He is Vice-President for the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG), Secretary of the Federation of Genealogical Societies (FGS), Vice-President of the Genealogical Speakers Guild (GSG), and Past- President of the Southern Kentucky Genealogical Society. A Graduate of the National Institute of Genealogical Research in Washington, DC, Lowe also serves on Board of the Historical Confederation of Kentucky. He is the Director of Regional In-Depth Genealogical Studies Alliance (RIGSA) a classroom instruction in cooperation with NARA-Southeast in Atlanta. His research work is primarily in manuscripts and original records throughout the Mid-South, and his background includes classroom instruction, database management and computer programming. In addition to his genealogical efforts, Mark is on the Board of Directors of the local Chamber of Commerce and serves a Director of the Leadership Robertson County [TN] program.
