Directions to the Raleigh Marriott City Center
From North
Take State Highway 1 to Capital Boulevard. Proceed on Capital Boulevard which will become Dawson Street. Turn left onto West Lenoir and then left onto Fayetteville Street. Valet Parking is on the left.
From South
Take State Highway 1 to Interstate 40 East. Proceed on I-40E and take Exit 298B (South Saunders Street). Keep right to McDowell Street. Turn right onto West South Street and then left onto South Wilmington Street. Turn Left onto East Lenoir and then Right onto Fayetteville Street. Valet Parking is on the left.
From East

Originally we were told the parking was free for one car per room and I assumed that was for each day you paid for the room. That is why I decided to drive to the conference. Evidently this is not so. It is confusing the way this is written. I called the Marriot. They said for most conferences there is one initial parking of your vehicle or you can park it yourself, and you get one coupon. As long as you leave it there-say you left it the entire conference -it is free. There is no in and out. If you go out and come back it is self park and the fees apply each time. In a few rare times she said they have let some groups make xerox copies of the coupon and use it multiple times and then they can go in and out unlimited times. She said they have not been given the policy for the NGS conference yet and so she does not know what it is and if I want to know I am to call back closer to next weekend. Can someone in NGS get a better handle on this from the hotel manager?
We are clarifying the parking at all the conference hotels and that information will be posted this weekend!
As far as we understand (as provided by NGS who has talked to the Marriott staff) -- for the Marriott -- as long as you have your one coupon AND use valet parking, you have in-and-out privileges for ONE car as long as you are registered.
We will be posting information on where to park a 2nd car and other details ASAP.
