9:30–10:00 Introduction and Basic Topics–Introduction to land plats and their use.
11:00–12:00 Workshop: Drawing Land Plats–A short workshop to learn the essentials of constructing a land plat.
1:30–2:30 Using USGS Maps for Plat Placement and Connected Tract Maps–Discussion of USGS maps and their role in placing plats on a modern map and connected tract map construction.
3:00–4:00 Advanced Topics: Dealing with Problems and Using Computer Software–How to deal with common problems and an introduction to computer-based platting
Members requesting the “members rate” must have a valid and current membership. For discounts to be applied to online orders, you must be logged into a current member account. For discounts to be applied to orders received in the mail, you must indicate your membership number. To verify this number, look for a four or five digit number on mailings from NCGS.
Full refund if withdrawal precedes the early registration date of 10 March 2014; between then and the workshop day a prorated refund may be made; no refund may be made if withdrawal is on the day of the workshop.
Any changes, including those due to inclement weather conditions, will be posted on the NCGS website.
