Where can you enjoy the beautiful and varied talents of North Carolina artisans and crafters? Come to the North Carolina Genealogical Society’s Pig Pickin’ BBQ and Bluegrass Event at the Holshouser Building on the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. We will be showcasing many different artisans who work in a variety of mediums. You will have the opportunity to browse and purchase their wonderful wares. Though subject to change, we will have a goat’s milk soap maker, a wooden bowl turner, a painter, a glass blower, a metal worker, a tinsmith, a potter, a honey and beeswax candle maker, and more. They are all local North Carolina artists who will be selling their goods and answering questions about their chosen professions. Take a piece of North Carolina home with you!
