We have just completed updating this resource!
We have indexed 45 more counties, bringing the total to 93 county pages. These are all that are currently available at FamilySearch.org. These new pages list not only names, but any miscellaneous folders that may be found for a particular county. Each county page has a link to that set of images at FamilySearch.
The master Decedent Index has also been updated, adding more that 145,000 names. These pages have been completely redesigned to accommodate this increase. There is also a new file with a consolidated list, by county, of various miscellaneous folders.
Look under Resources on the top menu bar, and click on NC Loose Estates Index to explore the new and improved index.
