Then we will ‘beat the bounds’ focusing on the state’s exceptional records and the people who made it their home – in the Appalachian Mountains that wind through the western part of the state, the Piedmont located in the central part of the state, and the coastal plain filled with beaches, sand dunes and wetlands.
