Zotero: a Versatile Research Tool for Genealogists

About the Webinar:

Zotero is open-source software developed specifically for researchers. It is designed to help users “collect, organize, cite, and share research.” Zotero helps researchers organize the way they search and collect information, while providing a means to quickly and easily cite the source of their findings. This webinar will discuss how genealogists can utilize its capabilities to easily catalog sources, compile research notes, create citations, and more.

About the Speaker:

Patti Lee Hobbs, CG®, lives in rural southwest Missouri and is blessed to have ancestors from many geographical locations including North Carolina! She serves on the editorial board for the National Genealogical Society Quarterly and is trustee for both the Board for Certification of Genealogists and the BCG Education Fund. Patti is the coordinator for the week-long courses “Genetics for Genealogists: Beginning DNA” at the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research (IGHR) and “DNA Fundamentals for Genealogy” at the Texas Institute of Genealogical Research (TIGR). Her article “DNA Identifies a Father for Rachel Lee of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania” was published in the March 2017 issue of the National Genealogical Society Quarterly, and she is a contributing author of Advanced Genetic Genealogy: Techniques and Case Studies.
