On Thursday, January 14, UNC-TV will present a free preview screening of Finding Your Roots Season 7. This special event begins with a preview screening of carefully curated clips from upcoming episodes of the NEW season of Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates Jr. In the upcoming seventh season, Professor Gates and his team explore the ancestry and family history of some of today’s most compelling personalities, including Glenn Close, William Pharrell, Audra McDonald, Clint Black, Don Lemon, Roseanne Cash and Christopher Meloni.
Following the screening, join UNC-TV for an engaging virtual discussion and Q&A featuring NC Genealogical Society president Laurel Sanders and others, moderated by Deborah Holt Noel, producer/director of North Carolina Weekend and Black Issues Forum. Engagement throughout the discussion is encouraged and you will be able to ask questions via the chat feature. We will make every attempt to get to all questions submitted.
Ten participating attendees will be eligible to win a one-year subscription to the North Carolina Genealogical Society and reference guide. (Prize valued at $100.)
